What You Need To Know: PLZ can automatically send survey "invitations" to your patients after they complete an appointment. These surveys let you know what your patients like - and don't like - about their experiences with your practice. They can also be used to help increase your position in Internet Search Engines, like Google.
PLZ has three types of surveys; New Patient, Hygiene, and Doctor. Each can have different questions, and all of them can have as many or as few questions as you like. Of course, the wording of the questions is completely up to you.
You can have all of your surveys be "private" - they come only to you - or you can "publish" the good ones to your website, and on www.rateadentist.com, a website we created to help you share your good reviews with the world. (Rate A Dentist provides you the simple web page "coding" that is used to display your reviews on your own website.)
It's important to understand that there are two very different reasons for asking patients to fill out a survey. The first is to help you understand fully how your patients feel about your practice, most importantly so that you can address any issues that the surveys bring to light. For this purpose, you must be able to write all of your own questions, not be locked into a short list of generic questions (which you will find offered by our competitors). The second reason is simply to help your Internet search results, by having your reviews "picked up" by the search engine companies (like Google, Yahoo!, etc.) Those reviews need to be very short and to the point, with only a small number of questions, but with comments from patient. (The comments are especially important.) We can help you set up your PLZ surveys to accomplish BOTH objectives simultaneously.
Finally, because we're sensitive to the issue of sending too many messages to patients, PLZ has limits on how often it will send survey invitations to any one patient. It will send surveys of the same type (New Patient, Hygiene and Doctor) no more often than every X months, and will never send two surveys of any type within Y days of each other. (Again, you decide what X and Y are.)
